This week, we are excited to welcome Tazmira Sultana to the New York Folklore Staff. In her role as New York Folklore’s Gallery and Membership Manager, Tazmira will be working to identify new artists and new items to include in the consignment gallery and she will be greeting visitors to New York Folklore. She will also be working with New York Folklore staff to plan exhibitions and programs. With her experience in public history, Tazmira will also assist us with our ongoing Collaborative Archives project which is working to link folklore archives and collections throughout the state of New York.
With Tazmira’s involvement and with the addition of weekend gallery assistant, Ellen LaQue, New York Folklore expands our hours to be open each weekday from 10:00 – 4:00, and weekends from 10:00 – 3:30 and 10:00 to 2:00 on Sunday.
