New York Folklore is a non-profit cultural organization that serves the field of folklore and folklife in New York State. New York Folklore receives operating support from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, and it receives targeted project support from local and national funders. As a non-profit organization, New York Folklore relies upon its members and donors to cover its operating expenses. Our members and donors provide important support that is not tied to any specific project but rather supports the mission and values of New York Folklore.
