Betty Fikes Pillsbury, award winning quilter and historian of the Crazy Quilt – a late 1800’s American fad – will be the presenter at a March 25, 2023 Crazy Quilt Trunk Show at New York Folklore. Using antique quilts and other textiles, Betty discusses the rage that swept late 1800’s America – the crazy quilt. Then, using her work as examples, Betty shows how crazy quilting is alive and well in the world today. Please bring your vintage crazy quilts to share.
The presentation will take place from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Registration is free. However, registration is required as seating is limited. Please call New York Folklore at 518-346-7008 or email info@nyfolklore.org.
