Iconographer Altin Stoja for “Art in Bloom” at the Schenectady Green Market

Each Sunday, the Schenectady Green Market will feature an artist or arts activity as part of the New York State Council on the Arts funded series “Art in Bloom.” The program aims to foster participation in the arts and to add to a sense of community. Art in Bloom will run from May 21 through Oct. 8 at the Schenectady Greenmarket, which takes place every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside City Hall.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, New York Folklore is the sponsor for the featured artist.  It must be It’s Moirai (/ˈmɔɪraɪ, -riː/)—the Greek word for  destiny, that our blacksmith has had to cancel. In his place will be Altin Stoja, a Greek Iconographer! You can learn even more about Greek Art and Culture by attending the Greek Festival right across the street!
