Project Information Meeting – Folk Arts Documentation and Programming in Western New York

June 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT

In collaboration with the Tri-County Arts Council, New York Folklore invites you to a “meet and greet” and an information session about folk arts and folklore documentation in New York’s westernmost Southern Tier.  Funded by a grant from the Ralph C. Wilson Jr.  Foundation.  The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Arts & Culture Initiative was established at the Community foundation to support arts and culture in the eight counties of Western New York, plus Monroe County, in recognition of the key role arts and culture organizations play in a thriving economy.  Part of that announcement includes $500,000 in annual funding to be awarded primarily to support small to mid-sized arts and culture organizations in the nine counties.

New York Folklore and Tri-County Arts Council have formed a collaboration to document community “anchors” and artists.  We encourage all interested individuals to join us on June 4th to learn more.
