Pan African Youth Orchestra – Open House and Information Session

Join New York Folklore and leaders of the Pan African Youth Orchestra for the Capital Region for this information session and open house.  All area youth are invited to participate in this innovative and unique orchestra that uses African instruments and African rhythms melodies for its unique sound.  The open house will feature presentations by orchestra leader, Zorkie Nelson of Schenectady, and a guest appearance by Kweku Sekyema Kwakye, the leader of the Ghanaian Pan African Youth Orchestra.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Electric City Barn, 400 Craig Street, Schenectady.  Rehearsals have begun and will be ongoing each Tuesday.  Stop in – no advance notice necessary!
