On Saturday, November 16th at 11 am Anping will present an introduction to traditional Chinese brush painting. Topics will include: history, philosophy, composition, elements, and popular subjects. He will demonstrate how to use bush, ink, and paint and teach some basic ink wash techniques. Anping will devote most of the workshop leading the attendees to create one or two paintings using these brush painting techniques.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the New York Folklore Gallery, 129 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY 12305, from 11AM to 1PM. Ten participants can be accommodated. Contact New York Folklore, 518-346-7008 to register or for additional information on the workshop. Fee: $20.00 NYF members; $25.00 non-members. The registration fee includes all supplies used in the workshop.
This workshop is being held in conjuction with the exhibit The Yellow Mountains (Huang Shan) of Anhui Province
