On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 4:00 PM, Anping will present an introduction to traditional Chinese brush painting. Topics will include history, philosophy, composition, artistic elements, and popular subjects. He will demonstrate how to use brush, ink, and paint on rice paper to create expressive and elegant compositions. Anping will devote most of the workshop to guiding attendees in learning basic brush painting techniques and applying the techniques to create one or two paintings.
The workshop will be held at the New York Folklore Gallery, 129 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY 12305, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Enrollment is limited to ten participants. The registration fee includes all supplies used in the workshop.
