Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades) Workshop with Master Xiaoping Xu

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM Xiaoping Xu will lead a Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades) Workshop at the New York Folklore Gallery. Enrollment is limited to ten participants. Ba Duan Jin is a traditional Chinese exercise system consisting of eight slow, flowing movements that are designed to improve physical and mental health. It is a form of Qigong, a Chinese practice that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. Practicing Ba Duan Jin will provide numerous benefits, including:

● Increased strength and endurance
● Reduced stress and anxiety
● Improved digestion and metabolism
● Strengthened immune system
● Enhanced coordination and agility
Ba Duan Jin is a gentle and accessible exercise system that can provide numerous health benefits. It is a great way to improve physical fitness, reduce stress, and connect with traditional Chinese culture.
This workshop is being held in conjunction with the exhibit No Matter Eastern or Western by Xiaoping Xu.

The Gallery is open Monday through Friday 10 am to 4pm, Saturday, 10AM to 3:30PM, and Sundays 10AM to 2PM (April- December).
