In 2024, New York Folklore will celebrate its 80th Anniversary. We invite you to view our fall exhibit which will celebrate the past, present, and future of our organization. This exhibit is in conjunction with out 80th Birthday Bash which take place September 21st at Jay Square in Schenectady, NY. More information about the Birthday Bash can be found here.
Maybe you are a longtime friend of New York Folklore, come celebrate with us! Have you walked past our gallery and been curious to stop in? Now is the time! Every wonder what “Folklore” is? Come and learn! We invite long time friends, newcomers, neighbors, partners and collaborators to learn how we began and how we have changed.
The exhibit can viewed whenever the New York Folklore Shop and Gallery are open. New York Folklore is located at 129 Jay Street, Schenectady, on the Jay Street Marketplace pedestrian mall. The Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 3:30PM, and Sundays 10AM to 2PM (April- December). Parking in downtown Schenectady is free on Sunday, and there is ample parking both in convenient LAZ lots, and on the street.
