Tazmira Sultana is completing her M.A. in Public History at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with a research focus on the Bangladeshi diaspora in New York. She has previously worked with cultural organizations, including the Underground Railroad Education Center in Albany and the British Council Bangladesh. Tazmira brings experience in gallery coordination, event programming, and public engagement. She has supported community-based arts initiatives and worked closely with immigrant and diaspora communities. At New York Folklore, she will manage the Gallery of New York Folk Art and membership relations. Tazmira is multilingual in English and Bengali and is an active member of the Bangladeshi American Foundation of Albany (BAFA).
